Project Controls Engineer – Senior Scheduler                                                                                        March 2015 to current

·   Continued analysis of NOVA Ethylene Revamp Furnaces including holding biweekly Project Controls meetings and monthly Status meetings for management.  Support Project Manager with internal and external weekly meeting. Interfaced with Technip India office to track and control their deliverables as part of the work share for NOVA Revamp Project.  Created Project Controls Plan, Planning and Progress Measurement Plan and Basis of Schedule.

·   Developed Level 1 EPC Schedule for Equate EU2 Plant as part of the feasibility study to increase capacity during 2017 shutdown.

·   Trained client Junior Scheduler on use of Primavera P6 for period update, progress measurement and reporting.

 

Project Controls Engineer - Scheduler                                                                                                 July 2012 to March 2015

·   Developed resource loaded Level 3 Schedule for Detailed Engineering Phase of NOVA Chemicals Joffre Ethylene Furnaces Revamp Program which included 5 furnaces. Completed Level 4 within same schedule for Engineering and Procurement progress measurement and created fabrication progress curve. Biweekly progress and productivity report to Project Management and NOVA.

·   Completed Site Survey for San Ramon Waste to Energy Project in Costa Rica as part of the feasibility study. Visited proposed project site located North of San Ramon, met with local construction company at one of their construction sites in downtown San Jose. Visited major commercial ports and met with local port authorities.

·   Acted as the Cost Engineer for Equate Feasibility Studies performing monthly Project Financial Reports as well as weekly labor report using Oracle R12. Approved and tracked project expenses and invoiced client.

·   Developed Level 3 and Level 1 Detailed Engineering and Procurement Schedule for Aura Minerals Aranzazu Arsenic Control Project as well as Level 4 for progress measurement.

BP Whiting Refinery Modernization (OCC) Project -Whiting, IN

·   Acted as the Weight Control Manager in the Integrated Project Management Team, IPMT, working with Jacobs and Foster Wheeler for the $6 billion expansion project. Created the master Excel spreadsheet to calculate and keep track of the 589 module weights, dimensions, and COG. Produced weekly reports with updates for management review.

·   Interfaced with the different engineering disciplines at the office, refinery and modular yard to ensure the proper handling of information.

·   Computer modeling and analysis of steel pipe racks and equipment structures.

·   Revised the correct modeling in PDMS/BIM of the different designed structures.

·   Performed design of spread and pile foundations with codes such as ASCE 7-05, PIP, AISC, ACI 318-05.

·   Prepared material quantity take-offs and updated the project Civil/Structural job specifications and guidelines.
